What’s in a year? 2015 highlights from the Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation
Over the last few years, the Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation has been working to launch the Peace3 Program and thanks to the support of so many of you, plus the generous support of our corporate donors, we were able to launch this program in 2015 plus accomplish so much more!
We launched the Peace3 program with a two day event in partnership with the Peace and Justice Institute at Valencia College with thousands of young people joining us in person and online…

And rejoiced with us as we celebrated his 84th birthday!
DTPF co-sponsored the Konferans Lapè Jacmel (Jacmel Peace Conference) in Jacmel, Haiti, which brought together young peace leaders from all over the island nation to discuss inner peace and how they can create peace in their communities.
Luminaries from a variety of fields joined DTPF for Digital Conversations on Peace, to discuss how they define and achieve inner peace and how they use that inner peace to make a difference in the world.
We partnered with Hip Hop Saves Lives and NegusWorld to begin work on two new tracks written, produced and performed by youth hip hop artists inspired by the Foundation’s Peace3 program – Peace within, peace between, peace among.
And the Foundation began work with filmmaker Monty Hempel to release, The Voyage of Desmond Tutu, a film about the Archbishop’s life and his philosophy told in his own words…
We were thrilled that in 2015, we marked Desmond Tutu Peace Foundation’s 15th birthday…
And we are so excited to continue celebrating 15 years of impact in 2016!
Will you help us spread peace education and the legacy of Desmond Tutu to people throughout the United States and around the world with a U.S. tax-deductible donation?
