tutu-540x360Nontombi Naomi Tutu was in Flint, Michigan this week to serve as the keynote speaker for the University’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Symposium.

One of Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s daughters, the civil rights and gender equality activist was on the campus to discuss race and equality.

Tutu also addressed the water crisis in Flint.

“We in this nation and this world recognize the shame of what has been done to you,” Tutu said. “We have a responsibility to you, to hold accountable those who have poisoned your community.”
